Basics & Offbeat opened in 2012 with a simple idea — Indore deserved a tailor who would take the time to get things right. Not a 14-week wait, but also not a 3-day rush job.
Fourteen years and over 10,000 outfits later, that's still what we do. Good fabrics from the best mills. Skilled tailors who care about their work. Two fittings every time. Clothes that fit you, last for years, and feel like yours.
The founder

Parakh started Basics & Offbeat in 2012. The plan was simple: a tailor's store that does things properly. No rushed jobs. No "close enough" measurements. Just clothes made carefully, for the customer in front of you.
Fourteen years on, he still meets most new customers in person. He still personally checks every wedding order before it leaves the store. If it has the Basics & Offbeat label, it has his approval.

Fit comes first.
Even the best fabric looks bad if the clothes do not fit. We focus on the fit, then talk about the cloth.
Two fittings, every time.
One fitting is faster, but it is also why most tailored clothes do not fit well. We always do two.
We save your measurements.
Once we measure you, we keep your details on file. Next time you visit, we already know your size.
No surprise charges.
We tell you the full price before we start. The amount on the bill is the amount we quoted.
Made to last.
Good clothes should last for years. We use durable fabrics and proper stitching so your wardrobe ages well.
